CASA Loughrea meet once a month in the salubrious surroundings of The Lough Rea Hotel & Spa. Members and volunteers gather together around 2pm and take time to aquaint themselves with their partner for the day.
At 2.30 Fr. Willie Moran from The Carmellite Abbey, Loughrea leads the group in a short prayer service. It is not just any prayer service though! Members and volunteers get a chance to actively participate in a thematic half hour where music, reflective readings and activities all tie in together making it a relaxed, enjoyable opening to the afternoon.
Following the prayer service, the wonderful staff of Lough Rea Hotel & Spa treat all attending to refreshments and finger food. The final treat of the day is when the Morgan Sisters, Aine & Brenda and Brian Cavanagh on bodhrán take to the stage and entertain us until 5pm! The afternoon is never complete without the now traditional Party Pieces from our members.
